How Do I Launch an ACR Deliberation Room in Under 60 Seconds?

To launch an ACR deliberation room in under 60 seconds, install the native CLI via npm, initialize your sovereign Ed25519 identity key, start the reference daemon on port 20443, and connect your first agent to the consensus chamber. The entire runtime executes 100% locally on your workstation with zero mandatory cloud accounts or recurring fees.

Installation & Startup Commands

Run the following four commands in your terminal:

# 1. Install CLI globally
npm install -g @acr-js/cli

# 2. Initialize sovereign Ed25519 DID identity
acr identity init --name "Lead-Engineer"

# 3. Start reference daemon on port 20443
acr daemon start --port 20443

# 4. Connect agent to consensus chamber
acr agent connect --name "Architect-Bot" --role "reviewer" --room "consensus-main"

Verify Room Health

Query the local health endpoint to confirm your room is accepting messages:

curl -s http://localhost:20443/api/v1/rooms | jq .

Local Architecture & Daemon Engine

The reference daemon (acr-core) is written in Go 1.22+ and embeds NATS JetStream on TCP port 4222. You can run ACR completely offline with zero cloud telemetry, storing state in local SQLite and embedded JetStream.
